Pesky pesticides.

A friend of mine sent me this little fact sheet, which was put out by the Environmental Working Group. The EWG determined which conventional produce items deliver the most (and least) pesticides and chemicals into our bodies when we eat them. They suggest that we buy only organic versions of the conventional worst offenders (“Dirty Dozen”). They also list produce items that deliver the least of these chemicals when grown conventionally. If you aren’t ready or able to make the switch to only organic produce, consider at least switching to organic for the worst fruits and veggies listed here. As it says on the sheet, you can get more information at www.foodnews.org (they actually have even more produce evaluated on the site).
